Niactil Advanced Pro is a cream/gel in a tube that can be used as a serum or alone as a cream. Its ingredients include 4% niacinamide and 10% polyhydroxylic acid (PHA), both of which improve the overall condition of the skin without causing skin irritation. This product should be combined with the other products in the skin care series. However, if this is your first time using Elixir, start by simply testing the product.
It is advisable to use the product in combination with other Elixir products to generate a strong synergistic effect between the different ingredients.
For young skin, it may be sufficient to use it as a cream in the morning or evening. However, it must be combined with Niactil 4% or Hydractil lite to increase the rate of hydration.
Conversely, adult skin needs more anti-aging ingredients, and therefore should be combined with Retinext products, sun protection and Hydractil products for sufficient treatment.
What are the active ingredients?
Polyhydroxy acids (PHA) are often considered the next generation of alpha hydroxy acids, but they are gentler on the skin. PHAs have antioxidant effects and gently slough off dead skin cells while simultaneously increasing hydration levels.
There are several PHAs, but the most common are gluconolactone and lactobionic acid. Gluconolactone is the ingredient used in Niactil Advanced Pro due to its multitasking properties.
Niacinamide is a well-researched water-soluble vitamin B3 that is vital for cell functions, including its ability to help maintain a satisfactory level of energy supplied to cells. With age, vitamin B3 levels decline, and cells' ability to repair and renew themselves begins to deteriorate. Niacinamide is used in particular to strengthen the skin barrier, reduce redness and help maintain healthier and "fresher" skin.
